Clare trained at the London School of Classical Dance, later known as the West Street School of Dance, on their full time accredited dancers' course.
From there she graduated straight into the profession where she worked for twenty years, appearing in West End Musicals, movies, pop videos and television, working with choreographers including: Bruno Tolioni (Halifax and Sainsburys adverts), Peter Darling (Phantom of the Opera), Anthony Van Laast (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Souls in Motion) and Luca Tomassini (Rachael Stevens and Geri Halliwell).
After a short switch in directions during which she gained years of teaching experience in different activities, she has returned to the dance studio via the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and their Professional Dancers Teaching Diploma (PDTD), which she gained with distinction. This qualifies her to teach the RAD ballet syllabus up to and including Advanced 2 and enter students for exams.
Continuing her professional development she also gained her Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance's (ISTD) Diploma in Dance Education (DDE) qualifying her to teach the Modern Theatre syllabus and enter children for these exams too.
Clare also freelances for several schools in Kent and London, most recently having been a guest teacher for the Tring Park Associates Holiday courses on several occasions.
She currently holds the RAD's Registered Teacher Status as well as being recognised by the Council for Dance Education (CDET). She is also an RAD Silver Swans licensee, bringing gentle ballet to the wider community.
